Ride sharing service operator
Lyft
has just launched its own scooter service in Denver, saying on Thursday that
it has launched
a new program called
Lyft Scooters
. The new service lets local users of Lyft's app rent electric powered scooters, intended to help bridge Denver's rail and bus networks. Lyft said scooter rentals will cost $1 to unlock and 15 cents per minute to ride. Lyft said that users should ride their scooters on the sidewalk in Denver, but that they should be riding on the 16th Street Mall, on the Auraria campus, or on park trails.
