Ulthera, a developer of medical devices for the aesthetic medicine market, said Thursday that it is expanding its operation in Mesa, with more than 100 new jobs by the end of 2014. The firm said it is leasing a 35,000 square foot building, an investing $1.68M in capital in the expansion. The company said the expansion is being backed by funding from the Arizona Competes Fund, a fund which the state uses to attract businesses. Ulthera is venture backed by 3i Ventures, Apposite Capital, Hercules Finance LLC, and New Enterprise Associates.
