Funium, a developer of Facebook games, said today that it has launched its first title,
Family Village, on Facebook. Family Village allows users to build real family trees via the game, which features an online virtual village with houses, businesses, jobs, and other elements drawn from information about users' real ancestors. Funium, which is headed by Jeff Wells, said the game will include things like in-game challenges, prizes from companies like ZAGG products, and more. Funium recently scored funding from Family Odyssey and FamilyLink, the firm run by Ancestry.com founder Paul Allen.
