Funium Finds $1.2M
Orem, Utah-based Funium, a new startup focused on developing a family tree focused online community, said Monday that it has raised $1.2M in an angel funding round. The round came from Family Odyssey, the investment firm of Jim Sorenson, along with FamilyLink, the founded by Ancestry.com's Paul Allen and is headed by former Logoworks CEO Paul Brockbank. Funion said it will be releasing its online game, Family Village, in Q2, allowing players to explore their family trees and interact in a virtual online community. The new startup is headed by Jeff Wells.
