SafetyWeb Buys Two Firms
Denver-based SafetyWeb, the provider of personal security products, said today that it has acquired iHound Mobile and myID.com. Financial terms of the acquisitions were not disclosed. iHound is a mobile application for the iPhone, iPad, and Android, which allows users to locate family members at GPS, find lost devices, and lock and erase information on those devices. MyID.com is a personal ID security and privacy tool. SafetyWeb is headed by Geoffrey Arone and Michael Clark, and is venture backed by Battery Ventures and First Round Capital.
