SafetyWeb Gets $8M
Denver-based SafetyWeb, a developer of a subscription service that helps parents monitor their children on social networking sites, said this week that it has raised $8M in a venture funding round. The round was led by Battery Ventures, and also included First Round Capital. SafetyWeb was founded by Michael Clark (Photobucket) and Geoffrey Arone (Flock). The company's service focuses on allowing parents to monitor the activities of their children on Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, Bebo, and other sites.
