Denver-based
SafetyWeb, the provider of tools that help parents track what their children are doing online, said today that it has created a Product Advisory Council. The firm, founded by Michael Clark and Geoffrey Arone, said it has added Connect Safely, Net Family News, Web Wise Kids, I Keep Safe, Enough Is Enough, and the National Cyber Security Alliance as members of its group. SafetyWeb said those groups would help the firm to incorporate their advice and knowledge to make the firm's service even more useful to parents. SafetyWeb's services allow parents to monitor online social networking and other sites for what their children are doing. The firm is backed by $8M in funding from Battery Ventures and First Round Capital.
