Advanced Energy Launches New Inverter Line

Fort Collins-based Advanced Energy Industries has launched a new line of inverters, the company said today, which are aimed at North American residential and small-commercial rooftop installations. Advance Energy's inverters are used for converting photovoltaic energy into A/C power in solar power installations. The firm said that its new PV Powered (PVP) HE String inverter line offer such features as wireless ZigBee monitoring, used for smart grid monitoring or home area network monitors. The firm said the new inveters will be available in Q2 of 2012, and will range from 3.8 to 7kW.
