Advanced Energy Adds Solar Inverter Line

Fort Collins, Colorado-based Advanced Energy said today that it has added a new line of power inverters for the photovoltaics market. The company said that its new Solaron line of photovoltaic inverters are targeted at grid-tied, commercial systems installations. Photovoltaic inverters are used to convert the DC voltage from photovoltaic panels into AC power usable by consumers. The company said that the firm's inverters were designed for the North American Market and offer 333 kW capacity with 97 percent efficiency.
