Advanced Energy In Asian Alliance

Fort Collins-based Advanced Energy, the developer of solar inverters and other power conversion products, said today that it is in a strategic alliance with an Asian manufacturer. The company said it has expanded a strategic alliance with Shanghai Guangdian Electric Group (SGEG), to provide SGEG with its inverter software and product testing expertise. Financial details of the deal were not announced. The firm said the partnership will provide new inverters specifically for the Asian market. Advanced Energy explained that the deal will allow it to increase its business in China, as well as in other high growth, Asian markets such as India. Advanced Energy's products are used to convert photovoltaic, solar power into usable AC power.
