Fusion-io Wins San Diego Supercomputer Center
Salt Lake City-based Fusion-io, the newly public developer of flash-based memory and storage devices, said Wednesday that it has deployed its products at the University of California, San Diego, at the San Diego Supercomputer Center. The firm said its technology is being used for bioinformatics research, to improve the speed of MySQL database queries. Financial details of the win were not disclosed.
