Fusion-io Wins Zendesk

Salt Lake City-based Fusion-io, the developer of solid state disk drives, reported Thursday that it is powering cloud-based help desk provider Zendesk. Fusion-io said Zendesk is using its ioMemory product to accelerate its database performance. Financial impact of the win was not disclosed. Fusion-io said Zendesk has applied its storage to increase MySQL database access from 1000 queries per second to more than 3000. Fusion-io said the move will benefit Zendesk's customers, which include Groupon, Twitter, MSNBC and OpenTable.
