Fusion-io Trumpets Performance In Navy Study

Salt Lake City-based Fusion-io is trumpeting the results of a study by one its customers, the US Navy, saying that the study found an average performance improvement of 800 percent when using its products versus traditional, RAID 5 storage technology. Fusion-io makes flash-based, solid state disk drives. Fusion-io said the testing was carried out by researchers at the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic (SSC Atlantic) in Charleston, SC.
