Grow Utah Focuses On Clean Technology For Contest
Grow Utah Ventures announced Tuesday that it has begun accepting submissions for its next "Concept to Company"” contest, with a focus this time on responsible energy production. This will mark the fourth "Concept to Company" contest Grow Utah Ventures and its sponsors have put on, the organization noted, adding that up to $35,000 in money and services being awarded. The newest contest is focusing in on the energy space, with the group saying that it is looking for "mechanical and procedural products, services and innovations that optimize and enhance environmentally responsible energy production." Submissions will be accepted until Aug. 30, Grow Utah Ventures said, noting that finalists will be announced Sept. 9. and then invited to make a live presentation before a panel of energy industry experts on Sept. 18. Grow Utah Ventures is a privately funded, not-for-profit organization that advises entrepreneurs and early stage businesses throughout the Beehive State. The contest's sponsors include USTAR, Zions Bank, Ballard Spahr, Workman Nydegger and CFO Solutions.
