Grow Utah Boots Up New Contest
Grow Utah Ventures, the Utah-based organization that has been running business plan competitions to help spur entrepreneurs in the state, said this morning that it has launched its third, general technology 'Concept to Company' contest. The new contest, like previous contests, will award $20,000 in cash and business services to the grand prize winner, and $10,000 each to two runners-up. According to Grow Utah, the new competition has a deadline of April 15th, and is focused on companies in Southern Utah. Grow Utah reports is has now awarded $400,000 in prize money and services via its competitions. The new effort is co-sponsored by SEED Dixie and Zions Bank; SEED Dixie is an economic development effort of Utah's Washington County Economic Development Council.
