Avnet Tapped to Market Applied's Product Line

Computer systems manufacturer Applied Data Systems announced Wednesday that it will promote its entire product line through Phoenix-based Avnet Electronics Marketing, an operating group of Avnet Inc. The distribution agreement specifies that Avnet will sell Applied's embedded, application-ready, single-board computers to OEMs in industries ranging from medical devices to industrial manufacturing. Headquartered in Columbia, Md., Applied Data Systems is a subsidiary of Eurotech Group. Avnet Inc. is based in Phoenix, Arizona and boasts more than 250 locations in 70 countries. The firm reported gross revenues of $14.25 billion for the fiscal year ending July 1, 2006.
