Micron Opens Manufacturing Site In China

Boise, Idaho-based Micron Technology has officially opened a new manufacturing site in China, the firm said Tuesday evening. Micron said that the facility is its first in China, and will provide assembly and test operations for its semiconductor products. Micron is investing $250M in the facility, which will support up to 2,000 employees. Micron is a manufacturer of DRAM, NAND flash memory, CMOS image sensors and other semiconductor components.
