Boise, Idaho-based Micron Technology has sold off a manufacturing plant in Italy, the firm said late Monday, in a deal with LFoundry. The two said they are in an agreement where LFoundry will buy Micron Technology Italia, Srl., and all of its semiconductor fabrication facility assets in Avezzano, Italy. Financial details of the sale were not announced. The companies said that Micron will also assign a four-year supply agreement it has with image sensor firm Aptina to LFoundry, and provide a restricted technology license to LFoundry.
