Broomfield, Colorado-based
Gogo Business Aviation, the business aviation arm of in-flight Wi-Fi provider Gogo, said this morning that it has partnered with
Constant Aviation, one of its dealers, to develop "Supplemental Type Certificates" (STCs) for Embraer 145 Series Shuttle, Legacy 600/650, Gulfstream V, and Phenom 300 aircraft. Those STCs are required by the FAA before installing equipment into specific aircraft. Gogo said the move is part of its scheduled launch of its 4G service in the first half of 2017. Gogo has been in the midst of a major upgrade of its systems, as it faces challengers with much faster service in both the business and commercial aviation market.
