Gogo, the in-flight wireless connectivity provider, reported this morning that its Broomfield, Colorado-based
Aircell business aviation group has now installed more than 2,000 systems into business aircraft. The company said the installations came in four and a half years, since the launch of its service in June of 2009. Gogo's Aircell division installs Wi-Fi systems onto private and business jets, allowing for access to the Internet via laptops, tablets, smartphones, and other mobile devices. It also provides optional voice services for mobile phones. Aircell rebranded its business aviation group to Gogo Biz
some number of years ago, and eventually rebranded the whole company to Gogo, but recently looks to be shifting back to using Aircell for those business customers.
