Aircell Signs Charter Operator For Business Internet
Broomfield, Colorado-based Aircell, the division of Gogo which provides in-flight Internet and connectivity to the business aviation market, said today that it has signed charter operator Travel Management Company (TMC) as a customer. Aircell said that TMC will deploy Aircell's gogo Biz service across its fleet of light jet charter aircraft. The deal includes nearly 70 aircraft. Financial impact of the win was not announced. TMC operates a fleet of Hawker 400XP and Hawker 800XP charter aircraft in the United States. Gogo is the in-flight wireless operator which supplies the U.S. commercial aviation market; the firm changed its name some years ago from Aircell to the name of its consumer service, Gogo, but has maintained the Aircell name for its business aviation operations.
