Vivint, the home automation services firm recently acquired by private equity firm Blackstone for more than $2 billion, said it has named Matthew Eyring as its new Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer today. Eyring was most recently at Innosight, the strategy and consulting firm founded by Clayton Christensen, the Harvard Business School professor and author. Eyring has been at Innosight since 2001, and prior to that served at LavaStorm and Medtronic. Eyring is not a stranger to Utah, where he earned his BA at the University of Utah before getting an MBA at Harvard.
