Vivint Opens Innovation Center, Ramps Hiring Plans

Provo, Utah-based Vivint, the provider of home automation services, announced this morning that it has opened up a new Vivint Innovation Center in Lehi, Utah, which will build next generation products and technology for the company. Vivint explained that the new center--which already has more than 50 product and software engineers--is expected to grow by adding up to 100 more jobs over the next two years.

Vivint said the new center is led by its Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer, Matt Eyring, along with J.T. Hwang, chief technology officer; Jim Nye, vice president of product development; and Jeremy Warren, vice president of innovation. Vivint said the new center includes hardware, software and radio engineers, industrial designers and user experience professionals.
