Infinite Power Solutions, the developer of solid-state, thin-film energy storage devices headed by Jim Norrod, said Wednesday that it has raised $10M in a Series D funding round. The round came from Generation Investment Management, D. E. Shaw Ventures, Polaris Venture Partners and Core Capital Partners, along with Applied Ventures, In-Q-Tel, and two un-named strategic investors. The company said the funding will be used to the firm's manufacturing capacity, to build out its sales channels, and for research and development.
