Avanquest Rolls Out Safe Driving Software
Are you looking to stop your teenager from texting while driving? Denver-based Avanquest Mobile Technologies, a division of Avanquest Software, said this morning that it has launched a new software product which runs on smartphones, which detects the speed of a phone and shuts off phone texting options while a user is driving. According to Avanquest, the new Mobile Safe Driving is available on Android, and is being targeted at operators, OEMs, and resellers, who would like to help parents and others stop dangerous sending and receiving of text messages. Pricing on the new app was not disclosed. The software works using GPS and other location technology in Android phones, and automatically stops access to call and messaging at speeds over 18mph. The software also has options for logging activity for parents, and tracking a child's location on an online map.
