Boulder-based
SimpleGeo, the developer of location-based APIs for acquiring information about physical locations, businesses, and more, has been acquired by
Urban Airship. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed, although the deal was reportedly worth $3.5M. Urban Airship said it is adding SimpleGeo's team to the company. SimpleGeo was backed by First Round Capital, Freestyle Capital, Lowercase Capital, Redpoint Ventures, The Foundry Group as well as a large number of Silicon Valley angel investors.
