Matt Galligan, the former co-founder of former Boulder-based startup
SimpleGeo, has re-emerged at a new startup,
Circa, with $750,000 in seed funding, including investments from David Cohen and David Tisch of TechStars. According to Circa, it raised the seed funding for eonCapital, Quotidian Ventures, Techstars' David Cohen and David Tisch, Tumblr's David Karp, Eric Norlin’'s SK Ventures, Manesh Arora, Pedro Torres-Picon, Rick Webb, Scott Belsky and Soraya Darabi. Galligan had left SimpleGeo in August, shortly before SimpleGeo was acquired--and shut down--by Urban Airship. Galligan and co-founder Stump, who had been part of TechStars' 2007 class, were last in San Francisco.
