PicDial Combines Mobile Phones, Social Networks
Scottsdale, Arizona-based PicDial, a new online service focused on mobile phone users, said today that it has launched a service which allows users to see their friends' Facebook or MySpace profile pictures as caller ID, and also dial users by their picture, instead of their name. The service, developed by company iQZone, said it runs on the iPhone, Blackberry, Android phones, and other platforms. Picdial said the cost of its service varies by phone carrier, and that it currently has deals with Verizon, AT&T, Boost Mobile, Samsung, and BlackBerry.
