Micron Ships Mobile Memory
BOise, Idaho-based Micron said yesterday that it has shipped new NAND flash memory products targeted at mobile phones, for storing music, images, videos, and e-mails. The company's new NAND flash memory device comines memory with a high speed multimedia card (MMC) controller. The new controller combines many of the functions required for managing flash memory in a multi-chip package. The new device is targeted at mobile phones and portable devices.
