Southwest Windpower, a developer of small wind turbines, said Wednesday that it has raised a new round of funding. Amount of the funding was not disclosed. The firm said that the round included PCG Clean Energy and Technology Fund, Altira, GE Energy Financial Services, NGP Energy Technology Partners, and Rockport Capital Partners. Southwest Windpower's wind turbines provide up to 3kW of energy, and are designed for residential markets. The firm said the funding will go to expanding in global markets and to enhance its product.
