Southwest Windpower Gets $8M
Flagstaff, Arizona-based Southwest Windpower has received $8M in a Series B funding round, the company said last week. The venture funding round came from RockPort Capital Partners, and included investments by CTTV Investments and Altira Technology Fund. CTTV is the venture capital arm of Chevron Technology Ventures. Southwest Windpower is developing small wind generators used to generate power. The twenty year old company said it will use the capital to expand its manufacturing and marketing operations.
