Hypercom, a manufacturer of electronic payment-processing products, reported Monday that it has hired Thomas B. Sabol as chief financial officer, effective April 20. The firm said Sabol will succeed Robert M. Vreeland, who had served as interim CFO and will remain with the company in a leadership position within its Global Finance team. The company noted that Sabol hails from Suntron Corp., where he spent the previous three years as CFO and has been a director since 2004. Before Suntron, Hypercom continued, Sabol was CFO for Wolverine Tube Inc. and chief operating officer for Plexus Corp. He has also worked as a senior auditor for Kemper Corp. and Coopers & Lybrand, Hypercom said.
