Sorenson Media Names CEO, Expands In California
Salt Lake City-based Sorenson Media, a developer of video compression and encoding software, announced this morning that it has hired on a new CEO and opened up a new San Diego, California office. The firm said that the move comes as it looks to expand its services and open "significant" employment opportunities in both San Diego and Salt Lake City. Sorenson said that it has hired on Peter Csathy as its new CEO. Csathy joins the firm from SightSpeed, which was recently sold to Logitech, and also had served as an executive at Musicmatch. Sorenson Media was founded in 1995 by James Lee Sorenson.
