Sorenson Media, the developer of video trancoding software, reported today that it has been selected by broadcast video services firm >iStreamPlanet. Sorenson Media said that iStreamPlanet is using its Squeeze Server 2.0 as its trancoding solution. Financial impact of the win was not announced. iStreamPlanet's clients include NBC, Turner Broadcasting, AMC Networks, the United States Olympic Committee, AT&T, Microsoft, and others. Sorenson Media has major operations in Salt Lake City, but is based in San Diego, California.
