Sorenson Media, which develops video encoding and decoding software, as well as operates its own online video hosting service, said today that it has deployed its Sorenson 360 online video platform at the University of Utah, as well as four other universities. Sorenson said that the University of Utah is using Sorenson 360, its online video platform, for curriculum development and delivery to class projects, marketing, and educational outreach. Financial impact of the win was not disclosed. Sorenson also said it has recently added are Harvard University, The Ohio State University, Loyola Marymount University and Dublin City University as customers in the education sector. Sorenson has operations in both Salt Lake City, as well as San Diego, California.
