Footnote.com Debuts Black History Archive
Lindon, Utah-based Footnote Inc., operator of the online historical document service Footnote.com, reported Thursday that it has unveiled an archive of African-American–related records to commemorate Black History Month, which begins Monday. According to the firm, its African American Collection is the product of a partnership with the National Archives and Records Administration in Washington D.C. Footnote explained that it and the NARA spent two years compiling the collection, which features digitized documents covering slavery, military service and other records dating back to the late 18th century. Footnote added that it plans to add to the collection in the coming months.
