Lindon, Utah-based Footnote Inc. said Thursday that it has officially launched a U.S. history and social networking Web site, Footnote.com. Footnote Inc. was formerly known as iArchives, a company which has been digitizing and indexing historical documents. Footnote said the new site, which has been available since earlier this year, is a subscription-based service that features indexed and searchable historical documents related to the founding of the United States of America. Footnote said that documents available on the site include letters written by George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin and other Founding Fathers. Footnote was founded as iArchives in 1997.
