Footnote revealed this morning that it has signed EBSCO Publishing as the exclusive worldwide distributor of Footnote.com to libraries and institutions. A subscription-based online archive, Footnote.com blends historical documents with personal histories and therefore serves as both a historical and genealogical resource. According to Footnote, the distribution deal with EBSCO will help it publish material not normally available online. As an example, Footnote cited its content partnership with The National Archives, which includes millions of images, most of which have never before been available on the Internet. EBSCO is headquartered in Ipswich, Mass.
