First Solar Gets Solar Win In Southern California
Tempe, Arizona-based First Solar, a developer of photovoltaic modules for the solar power industry, said Monday that the firm has completed a 2 megawatt install in Southern California for Southern California Edison. First Solar said the install is the first in a plan to install 250MW of solar generating capacity throughout Southern California over the next five years. Financial impact of the install was not disclosed. First Solar said it has also been selected for a 1MW project, the second for Southern California Edison's plan, for a commercial install in Chino, California.
