First Solar Signs 550MW Solar Power Project
Tempe, Arizona-based First Solar has inked a contract with Southern California Edison, a power provider in Southern California, for two solar power projects totaling 550MW. Southern California Edison said that the plants, in Riverside and San Bernardino counties in Southern California, will provider power to approximately 170,000 homes. First Solar will engineer, procure, and construct the two facilities using its thin film solar technology. Financial impact of the deal was not disclosed.
