Web-based communications provider Level 3 Communications revealed Wednesday that it has expanded its relationship with the National Hockey League and, as such, is providing that organization with video, high-speed Internet Protocol and content delivery services. The financial impact of the deal was not disclosed. As part of the multi-year strategic partnership, Level 3 said it is providing the NHL with its Vyvx services, which will enable the league to acquire and backhaul its broadcasted NHL games. Additionally, Level 3 said it has implemented on-net access to the NHL's newly completed headquarters. Level 3 Communications is headquartered in Broomfield, Colo.
