Broomfield, Colorado-based Internet connectivity provider Level 3 Communications Inc. announced Thursday that it has been chosen to upgrade Jupiter Hosting Inc.'s Internet access service to multiple, 10-gigabit Ethernet circuits. Level 3 said, under the terms of the multi-year agreement, it will increase the IP transit capacity it supplies to Jupiter Hosting. To do this, Level 3 said it will replace multiple, single-gigabit Ethernet ports with 10 GigE circuits at three Jupiter Hosting's locations in California's Silicon Valley area. Level 3 explained the upgraded infrastructure will enable Jupiter Hosting to better serve its managed hosting clientele. Level 3 is a major provider of telecommunications networks and services, including voice communications, data service, Internet and data services.
