SiC Systems Raises Venture Round
SiC Systems Inc., a manufacturer of silicon carbide substrates, announced Monday that it has raised a Series A venture capital funding. The amount of the funding and the firms responsible for providing it were not disclosed, however. SiC, which recently launched operations after constructing its first production facility, said it would use the money to deliver its initial crop of 150mm (6-inch) silicon carbide wafers later this year. SiC Systems is a privately held, early stage development company headquartered in Golden, Colo.
