Novell Buys Security Provider
Novell has acquired e-Security, a provider of security software, for $72M, the company announced today. Novell, provider of Linux and other operating system software, said today that it would acquire e-Security in a move to deliver a single view of security and compliance activities across the enterprise. e-Security provies software used for automated compliance monitoring and reporting, used by companies subject to regulations such as Sarbanes-Oxley and HIPAA. Novell said that it expects e-Security to have a positive revenue impact of $20M in the next 12 months.
