Techstars Announces Second Accelerator In Indianapolis

In the second, startup accelerator to be launched by Boulder-based Techstars in the city of Indianapolis in as many weeks, Techstars announced this morning that it is launching the new Techstars SportsTech Accelerator Powered By Indy. According to Techstars, the new startup accelerator is being backed by the Next Level Fund, Indiana Sports Corp, NCAA and Pacers Sports & Entertainment plus supporting partners the Indianapolis Colts, Verizon IndyCar Series and Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The new accelerator program will launch in conjunction with the next, Indianapolis 500, in May of 2019. According to Techstars, the new accelerator will focus on innovative startups across many sectors, stages and business models aiming to combat issues in sports technology. Techstars just announced another startup accelerator in Indianapolis last week, focused on the materials science, environmental services and specialty chemicals fields, The Heritage Group Accelerator Powered By Techstars.
