Techstars Launches New Accelerator, Techstars LA

Boulder-based Techstars is continuing its expansion of programs around the world, announcing this morning that has opened up another, horizontal accelerator program, Techstars LA, in Los Angeles, California. The program will be Techstars' third in Los Angeles, where it also has the Techstars Healthcare Accelerator with Cedars Sinai, and Techstars music. The startup accelerator described the new accelerator as "tripling down" on startup accelerators in Los Angeles. Applications for the new program will open in January, and the first program will run in July of 2017. The startup accelerator will accept all kinds of companies, much along the lines of the classic Techstars programs in Boulder, Boston, and Seattle, rather than being vertically focused on a specific industry or technology.
