Sling TV Launches Amazon Fire Tablet Support
Englewood, Colorado-based over-the-top, Internet television service Sling TV is expanding the footprint of its Internet-based, direct to consumer television service, saying it has added apps for the Amazon Fire Tablet. Sling said the apps run on Amazon Fire HD and Fire HDX tablets, in addition to existing support on Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick. Sling TV operates an online, Internet video service which lets users purchase and access cable television channels directly from their PC or devices, without having to have a traditional cable subscription. Sling has been aiming to have the service running across the full spectrum of connected devices, and already supports the Google Nexus Player, Roku and Roku TV models, Xbox One, iOS and Android devices, in addition to Mac and PC support. Sling TV is part of DISH.
