Sling TV Launches On Google Chromecast
Englewood, Colorado-based Sling, which offers up a number of packages of popular cable channels via the Internet--without needing a cable subscription--said today that its service has launched on Google Chromecast. Sling said it would offer up a two month, free trial for new Sling TV customers using the Google streaming television service. Sling said the service supports Chromecast on Android smartphones and tablets, iPhones and iPads, with Windows and Mac laptop support coming soon. Sling is offering up a basic package of cable channels for $20 per month, with access to ESPN, AMC, TNT, TBS, Food Network HGTV, Travel Channel, IFC, and many others, in addition to offering up other premium packages of channels and video-on-demand. Sling TV is a subsidiary of DISH.
