Control4 Buys Leaf

Salt Lake City-based Control4 is expanding its solutions in the audio/visual (A/V) market, with the acquisition of Australian A/V entertainment developer Leaf. Control4 said it paid approximately $9M in cash for Leaf (Nexus Technologies Pty, Ltd.), an Australian provider of audio/video distribution products. Control4 had already been a reseller of Leaf's products. Control4 said it will use the buy to both expand its presence in the A/V market, as well as gain engineering expertise to develop new and innovative products for that market.
