Innovative Market Analysis Buys MetaStock

Salt Lake City-based Innovative Market Analysis said today that it has acquired MetaStock, the developer of technical analysis software used for stock trading, from Thomson Reuters. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Innovative Market Analysis was created by by Scott Brown, the current President of MetaStock, and has 35 employees. Innovative Market Analysis said it will continue to sell and market the MetaStock and MetaStock Pro software packages, which are used for charting and technical analysis of stocks by stock traders; the firm said it was "very excited" that Thomson Reuters allowed the company to buy MetaStock.
